I just sent a client a contract to photograph their wedding early next year. I included an invoice with a payment schedule. It’s the first time I’ve done it.

This paid photography stuff is starting to get real. It’s no longer just “hey, let’s go make photos together.” This is a real once-in-a-lifetime event that I have to get right the first time.
